About Us

Focus Eleven is a company that believes in the power of positive thinking. No matter how bad the situation seems to be, things can always be worse and there is always reason to be thankful for what we are given. The inspiration for Focus Eleven stems from my grandparents and the life philosophies to which they subscribed.

My grandmother always told her children and us grandchildren that things always work out for the best. Whether referring to a situation at work or personal relationships, her motto seemed to ring true the majority of the time. She never let us dwell on the things we didn't have, but had us concentrate on the wonderful things we had around us - loving family, hearty food on the table and our all around good health.

My grandfather always looked on the bright side of things. He amazed us with his positive attitude. A tumor on his optic nerve caused him to lose the eyesight in his left eye.  This would have been pretty depressing for most of us, but not Grandpa.  Instead, he just joked about it, and his attitude was “Hey, lost an eye? No problem, I’ve got another one!" He amazed us when he fell during a walk, and broke his arm. His attitude was, “Broke an arm?  No problem, I’ve got another one! Just glad it was my left arm.” It was this attitude that inspired the entire family to always look on the bright side.

I am starting this company with the intent to spread this message to as many people as I can because there seems to be an overwhelming sense of negativity surrounding the country and the world today. Hopefully this company will bring a little glimmer of hope and happiness to all of you and allow you to help spread your own positive message to your family, friends and loved ones.

I chose to use clothing as a medium for our message because I've always been fascinated with successful companies that have complete freedom in putting whatever they want on their products. They are free to express their creativity in any way they want and their customers appreciate the artistic qualities of their unique designs while expressing their own individuality by choosing one of the many designs to wear on their backs. However, something I have noticed about these companies is that the purpose of their clothing or company is not always clear. What do their products represent? Just because we like their designs, is what they stand for really something we want to display on our backs?

It is my goal to provide numerous designs using our logo and our message to provide a similar sense of individuality for our customers. It is also important to me that the company always stay true to its mission to spread positive thinking and optimism to everyone. When I think of who our potential customers could be, there are really no exceptions:

  •  Teenagers facing difficulties with school, parents, and friends
  • College students facing prospects of limited job opportunities, money shortages and tuition rate hikes
  • Young adults figuring out the housing market, new families and possibly unstable work environments
  • Mature adults facing uncertain retirement scenarios, children living at home, health issues or aging parents
  • Seniors dealing with re-entering the work place, health issues and confusing insurance plans
  • Medical professionals who are faced with a difficult work environment - overwhelming grief, frustration and sickness on a daily basis
  • Any golfer who has ever experienced frustration on the course who may need encouragement to enjoy the experience rather than concentrate on a bad shot or two

With the state of the economy today and the general sense of gloominess around the country, we can all use some words of encouragement and optimism. Thank you for visiting our site and always remember to Focus on the Positive!
